The PPC certificate is the necessary document that certifies the suitability of an internal electrical installation.
Our company undertakes the issuance of power supply certificates of all power, after the required inspection and the appropriate measurements of the electrical installation to be electrified and provided that all technical specifications are observed for its correct and safe operation.
The Responsible Declaration of Electrician Installer (Y.D.E.) is requested by the PPC. at specific intervals to control electrical installations and ensure their safe operation in accordance with existing legislation.
Most commonly, as it is difficult to control all the benefits, the Responsible Declaration is requested when an application is made for a change in the electrical installation, ie:
• New electricity
• Power reconnection
• Change of consumer name
• Increase or decrease of electric power
• Consolidation of existing benefits
• Change the position of the meter
Depending on the use of the building, new PPC certificates are required every 1 to 14 years based on the following:
• For simple houses (apartments, houses, etc.) PPC certificates are required every 14 years
• For indoor business premises (without flammable materials) PPC certificates are required every 7 years
• For closed business premises with flammable materials, PPC certificates are required every 2 years
• For entertainment and gathering places of the public, as well as for professional facilities in the countryside (marinas, swimming pools, parking) PPC certificates are required every 1 year
The new PPC certificate according to the new legal framework that is valid from 1/11/2011 includes the following:
• Responsible Declaration of Electrician Installer (Y.D.E.), which lists general details of the installation (supply number, owner-consumer name, address, total power, size of connection cables, PPC fuses, type of supply and ground ), as well as the details of the electrician performing the test.
• Delivery Report, in which all electrical receptacles are recorded per space and the power consumption is calculated partially and in total for the entire installation.
• Test Protocol, in which the tables with their lines and the results of the tests are recorded (eg measurement of ground resistance, relay operation test) and the deviations from the predictions that may have been observed are noted.
• Drawing plans of electrical installation and electrical panel, ie floor plans in which the electrical sockets and power lines are marked ‘mapping’ the network.
• Monogrammed drawing of the electrical panel of the installation, showing the panel (or panels) with detailed information on the type of lines starting from it.
The Responsible Declaration of Electrician Installer (YDE), is issued only after inspection of the electrical installation to be electrified and after meeting the technical specifications for its proper and safe operation. The control is done with special measuring and control instruments. In case errors or defects are found, they must first be corrected and a new check made for the issuance of a PPC certificate.
